Cynthia Gaudet, a Rhode Island native, played her first 3-seasons of college basketball at Franklin Pierce University and finished her final year at Rhode Island College.
While at Franklin Pierce, she was on a nationally ranked team winning multiple Northeast -10 regular season and tournament championships as well as 3-straight NCAA regional tournament championships advancing to the Division II national championship (’09), semi-finals (’10) and elite 8 (’08).
Gaudet was named to the NE-10 Third Team All – Conference (’10) and All-Tournament team (’09), and the NCAA Northeast regional tournament team (’10).
During her final year of eligibility, while playing at Rhode Island College, Gaudet scored her 1000th career point and won the Little East Conference (LEC) regular season and tournament championship. She was named LEC Defensive Player of the Year and earned first team LEC Recognition.
In addition, Gaudet was named Second Team All-Northeast Region by D3hoops.com and New England Basketball Association (NEWBA). Gaudet received the Cox Sports/RI Basketball Media Kevin McNamara Award, signifying her as the Women’s Basketball Player of the Year.
Prior to college, Gaudet won a state championship with La Salle Academy. She was MVP of the state tournament and earned All - State recognition.
Following her collegiate career, she served as an assistant coach for one year at Rhode Island College. She is currently in her third year of medical school.
